On March 11, the Jaffar Express train in Balochistan was hijacked by BLA i.e. Balochistan Liberation Army (Pakistan Train Hijack). The rebels hijacked the train near the Ab-e-Gum area of Mach Town in Kutch district of Balochistan.

Some of the passengers who were held hostage by the rebels narrated their ordeal. Passengers said that after taking over the train, the gunmen checked the identity cards of the passengers and then released some families.
“They (rebels) asked us to come out of the train one by one. They separated the women and told them to leave. They also left the elderly,” Mohammed Naveed, who managed to escape from the rebels, told news agency AFP.

Babar Masih, a 38-year-old Christian worker, told AFP on Wednesday that he and several members of his family were also on the train. He said that when the women members of our family pleaded with them (rebels) to release us, they let us go. The rebels told us to get out of the train and run away. Do not look back. When we were running away, we saw that many other people were also running away from the train with us.
