Pakistani Olympic gold medallist javelin thrower Arshad Nadeem will not participate in the NC Classic javelin throw tournament to be held in Bengaluru on May 24. He has turned down the invitation of two-time Olympic medallist Neeraj Chopra.
A few days ago, while giving information about the NC Classic Javelin Throw being held in Bengaluru, Neeraj Chopra had said that he has also invited 2024 Paris Olympics gold medalist Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan to participate in it. He has spoken to him, he will give his answer after talking to his coach.
Arshad told the news agency that the NC Classic event is on May 24, while I will leave for Korea on May 22 for the Asian Athletics Championship. He said that he is working very hard for the Asian Championship to be held in Korea from May 27 to 31. Arshad’s statement came after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Nadeem won the gold medal at the Paris Olympics 2024 with a record throw of 92.97m, while Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal with a throw of 89.45m.
