Kent, WA — December 26, 2025
The Kent Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating a fatal car-versus-pedestrian collision that occurred Friday evening in Kent.
Just before 5:00 p.m., Kent Patrol officers responded to reports of a pedestrian being struck at the intersection of 108th Avenue SE and SE 224th Street. Upon arrival, officers found an adult woman unconscious and not breathing.
Officers immediately began CPR, later assisted by Puget Sound Fire personnel. The victim was revived and transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical condition. Despite lifesaving efforts, the woman later died from her injuries at the hospital.
Preliminary information indicates the 37-year-old female pedestrian was crossing 108th Avenue SE outside of a crosswalk, traveling west across the roadway. A white SUV traveling southbound on 108th Avenue struck the pedestrian.
The driver of the SUV, a 55-year-old woman, remained at the scene and cooperated fully with investigators. Police stated that speed and intoxication do not appear to be factors in the collision at this time.
Kent Traffic Investigators were called to the scene to conduct a full investigation. The incident remains under review.
