Seattle, Washington — Seattle police arrested a suspect following a stabbing early Tuesday morning in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
According to the Seattle Police Department, dispatchers received reports of a stabbing near East Pike Street and 10th Avenue at approximately 5:01 a.m. Officers arrived at the scene and located a 30-year-old man suffering from two stab wounds to the torso. Officers rendered first aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police later located a man matching the suspect’s description near Belmont Avenue and East Olive Way. The 36-year-old suspect was positively identified by officers and taken into custody without incident.
Detectives with the Homicide/Assault Unit are leading the investigation and are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the stabbing. The suspect was transported to King County Jail and booked for investigation of assault.
