Seattle, WA – October 7, 2025:
Seattle police officers arrested two men, ages 20 and 24, following an armed robbery in South Lake Union late Tuesday night.
At around 10:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 400 block of Terry Avenue North. Upon arrival, they met with a 26-year-old victim who stated that two masked suspects dressed in black clothing approached him at gunpoint and demanded his belongings. The suspects made off with his phone, wallet, house keys, and backpack before fleeing the scene.
Additional officers began searching the area and soon spotted three men matching the suspects’ descriptions exiting a tent near Cascade Park. When officers attempted to contact them, all three fled on foot. Police were able to apprehend two of the suspects, while the third escaped and remains at large.
Using surveillance footage, officers confirmed that the detained men were involved in the robbery. The video also showed one suspect pointing a gun at the victim during the crime.
During the arrests, police recovered the victim’s wallet and a lighter shaped like a realistic-looking gun. Officers also found 2.4 grams of methamphetamine, two knives, and black ski masks.
The suspects were transported to police headquarters, interviewed by robbery detectives, and later booked into the King County Jail for Investigation of Robbery.
