Police Investigating Stabbing in Central District

USAPolice Investigating Stabbing in Central District

Seattle police are investigating a stabbing that left a woman seriously injured in the Central District on Tuesday evening.

Officers responded just before 7:00 p.m. to reports of a stabbing in the 1800 block of South Jackson Street. Upon arrival, police found a woman inside an apartment suffering from stab wounds.

Seattle Fire Department medics provided emergency treatment and transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center, where she underwent emergency surgery. She remains in serious condition, according to authorities.

Police say the 21-year-old suspect fled the scene on foot before officers arrived. Seattle police, with assistance from a King County Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit, searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect.
