Russia has said it cannot accept the current US proposal to end the Ukraine war because it does not address Moscow’s concerns. This shows that talks between the US and Russia in an attempt to end the war have stalled.
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Moscow and Washington have so far been unable to address President Vladimir Putin’s concerns. Moscow has not yet been able to move forward on the proposal in its current form.
Sergei, an expert on US-Russia relations, said this in an interview with the Russian magazine International Affairs. It was released on Tuesday. He said, ‘We take the models and solutions proposed by America very seriously, but cannot accept it in its current form.’ Putin has said that Ukraine should give up its ambition to join NATO
The size of the Ukrainian army should be limited and Russia should be given control over four Ukrainian regions it claims. While Ukraine says these demands are tantamount to surrender for it.
