Renton, WA — The City of Renton will officially begin its 2026 City Council meetings on Monday, January 5, with a ceremonial start honoring recently re-elected councilmembers.
A swearing-in reception will be held at 6:00 p.m., followed by the formal ceremony at 7:00 p.m. The event will take place at Renton City Hall, 7th Floor, and is open to the public.
The ceremony will recognize three re-elected councilmembers beginning new four-year terms:

Ruth Pérez, Position 6
City officials encourage residents to attend and celebrate the continued leadership of the councilmembers as they begin the new year. The regular City Council meeting will follow the ceremony.
