USARenton Launches Holiday Food Drive and Shares Local Food Resources to Support Families in Need

The City of Renton is encouraging residents to help support community members facing food insecurity this holiday season by promoting a comprehensive list of food resources available throughout the Renton area.

City officials highlighted several local food banks, meal programs, and assistance services that residents can share with anyone who may need extra help during the winter months.

In addition to spreading awareness, the City of Renton is hosting a holiday food drive at both Renton City Hall and the Renton Community Center. Donations can be dropped off during regular business hours now through January 16, 2026. Collected items will support partner organizations serving individuals and families across the community.

Residents can view the full list of available food resources on the city’s website at rentonwa.gov/foodresources.

City leaders are encouraging those who are able to give to participate, noting that even small contributions can make a significant difference for families struggling during the holiday season.
