USARenton Police Thank Community Partners for “Operation Battle Buddy” Support

Renton, WA — The Renton Police Department is expressing gratitude to community partners for a meaningful show of support aimed at helping officers manage stress and difficult moments on the job.

According to the department, Danika, President of Washington State Children of the American Revolution (CAR), donated a box of Battle Buddy dolls as part of the organization’s “Operation Battle Buddy” initiative. The comfort dolls are designed to provide emotional support during challenging situations and long shifts.

The dolls were generously funded by private donors and the Seattle Police Officers Guild, and were presented to Renton police officers as a gesture of appreciation and care. The program is especially significant for first responders who routinely encounter high-stress and emotionally taxing incidents.

Police officials noted that Danika and her family have long-standing ties to the law enforcement community, making the donation particularly meaningful. The department shared that officers who patrol Renton neighborhoods are deeply appreciative of the holiday-season gesture.

“We are grateful for this thoughtful donation and for the continued support of our law enforcement families and community partners,” the Renton Police Department said in a statement.

The department emphasized that partnerships like these help strengthen morale and reinforce the strong bond between law enforcement and the communities they serve.
