USARoad Closure on Central Avenue S in Kent After Power Pole Knocked Down

KENT, Wash. — Drivers in Kent should expect delays after a full road closure was put in place on Central Avenue South between Smith Street and James Street due to a downed power pole.

According to the City of Kent Government, the closure is in effect while Puget Sound Energy (PSE) crews respond to the scene. Officials said there is no estimated time for the roadway to reopen.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes until repairs are completed. Traffic delays are expected as crews work to restore the damaged utility infrastructure.

Residents are encouraged to monitor official City of Kent and Puget Sound Energy updates for the latest information.
