NATIONALSC asks questions from Center on Ranveer Allahbadia case

Hearing was held on Tuesday on the petition of Ranveer Allahbadia, who made indecent remarks during the YouTube show ‘India’s Got Latent’. During this, the Supreme Court expressed displeasure over the statement of Ranveer Allahabadia.

The country’s top court made strict remarks on YouTuber Ranveer Allahabadia. The Court has granted interim protection from arrest in respect of several FIRs lodged against Ranveer Ilabadia. However, meanwhile, the court also expressed concern over the obscene content being continuously shared on social media.

The Supreme Court, during the hearing of Ranveer Allahabadia’s petition, asked the Center whether it was going to do something about obscene content on YouTube and other social media. The court asked the Center to consider regulating obscene content on YouTube and other social media.

During this, the Supreme Court said that we want you (government) to do something. If the government is ready to do something, we will be happy; Otherwise, we will not be left with this void and barren area the way the so-called YouTube channels are misusing it and all these things are going on.
