Seattle, WA – October 27, 2025 — The Seattle Police Department (SPD), in partnership with the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, is inviting residents to a Community Conversation on public safety and crime prevention. The event will take place Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Filipino Community Center, 5740 Martin Luther King Jr. Way S, Seattle, WA 98118.

The goal of the meeting is to foster open dialogue between community members and law enforcement, focusing on safety concerns, crime trends, and strategies for building stronger neighborhood trust.

“We want to listen, learn, and work together to address the issues that matter most to our communities,” SPD said in a statement.

Speakers at the event include:

  • Shon Barnes, Chief of Police, Seattle Police Department

  • Tyrone Davis, Chief of Patrol Operations

  • Heidi Tuttle, Captain, South Precinct

The department will also share updates on recent initiatives and progress made in reducing crime across Seattle. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions, ideas, and feedback to help shape future safety strategies.
