SEATTLE, WA — Seattle police are investigating a shooting that occurred Wednesday morning near the intersection of Rainier Avenue South and South Adams Street, according to an update from the Seattle Police Department (SPD).

Officers responded to reports of gunfire shortly before 9:48 a.m. When they arrived, they found one victim with injuries. Seattle Fire Department medics provided treatment at the scene before transporting the victim to Harborview Medical Center for further care.

Police said no suspects are currently in custody, and investigators are working to determine the circumstances leading up to the shooting. Authorities did not immediately release information about the victim’s condition.

SPD stated that additional updates will be provided as the investigation develops.
