The Supreme Court has agreed to consider the demand for early listing of the petitions challenging the Waqf Amendment Act. On Monday, when the petitioners demanded an early hearing, Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna assured to list the case for hearing.
Till now more than half a dozen petitions have been filed in the Supreme Court in which the Waqf Amendment Act has been challenged.
On Monday morning, senior advocate Kapil Sibal mentioned the petition of Jamiat-Ulama-e-Hind before a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and said that the Wakf Amendment Act has been challenged in it.Who all filed petitions in the Supreme Court regarding Wakf?
