Protests in support of Gaza were held on Monday in various cities including Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka. During this, violence took place at many places. Police have arrested 49 people in cases of violence.
“So far 49 people have been arrested in connection with these incidents. The police took prompt action and two cases have been registered. Further investigation is underway and those responsible for these reprehensible acts will be brought to justice,” the interim government’s press department said in a statement on Tuesday.

The protests were held in various cities of Bangladesh on Monday as part of a global campaign to protest the brutal attacks on Palestinians in Gaza. Students boycotted classes and exams to take part in the protests. The organizers of the protests called on people to boycott Israeli goods.
