USASouthbound Lane Closure Scheduled at 4th Ave S and W Gowe St for ADA Ramp Improvements

Drivers in the area of 4th Ave S and W Gowe St should prepare for a temporary traffic disruption beginning March 30 through April 3, 2026. The southbound curb lane at this intersection will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to allow crews to remove and replace ADA-compliant ramps.

The work is part of ongoing infrastructure improvements aimed at enhancing accessibility and ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Traffic control measures will be in place throughout the duration of the project to help manage vehicle flow and ensure the safety of both drivers and construction workers.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead, follow posted signage, and expect possible delays while traveling through the area during work hours. Alternative routes may help reduce congestion.

For more information, contact Adam Campbell, Construction Inspector, at 253-856-5500. Additional updates may also be available via DriveKent.com.
