Southbound SR 167 Reopens; Northbound Lanes Remain Closed Due to Flooding

USASouthbound SR 167 Reopens; Northbound Lanes Remain Closed Due to Flooding

Drivers traveling between Kent and Auburn received some relief as southbound State Route 167 reopened between South 212th Street in Kent and 15th Street Northwest in Auburn, according to the City of Kent and the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).

However, northbound SR 167 remains closed in the same area due to ongoing flooding and water over the roadway.

City of Kent Public Works crews are actively assisting WSDOT by operating pumps to remove water from the affected lanes. Officials say there is no estimated time yet for when northbound lanes will reopen.

Authorities urge drivers to stay alert, follow posted signs, and continue using alternate routes where necessary. Updates will be shared as soon as WSDOT provides additional information.
