Steffanie Fain Elected to Represent King County Council District 5

KING COUNTY, WA — Steffanie Fain has been officially elected to serve as the King County Councilmember for District 5, with her term beginning on November 25, the date the election was certified. Her term will run through December 31, 2028.

Fain assumes the position after succeeding an appointed councilmember, transitioning into the role following the completion of the election process. King County officials noted that additional information about Councilmember Fain and her staff will be released once the transition is finalized.

District 5 represents a diverse and heavily populated region of South King County, including the cities of:

  • Des Moines

  • Kent

  • Normandy Park

  • Renton

  • SeaTac

  • Tukwila

As a newly elected councilmember, Fain will help shape countywide policy on issues such as public safety, transportation, housing, public health, and regional development.

County leaders and residents now look ahead to the upcoming term as Fain begins her service representing the interests of District 5 communities.
