TUKWILA, Wash. — A driver was arrested for driving under the influence after a head-on collision on the 14400 block of Interurban Avenue South late Sunday night, according to the Tukwila Police Department.
Police say the suspect’s vehicle crossed the center line and struck another car head-on. The other driver, an elderly woman, suffered several non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Officers reported that the suspect showed signs of impairment at the scene. The driver was transported to the police station, where Officer Mosley obtained a blood draw warrant. A certified phlebotomist from a partner agency performed the blood draw after the warrant was approved.
The suspect was subsequently booked into jail on DUI charges.
