The Trump administration of America has started an effort to reduce the size of government employees. The White House on Tuesday gave all federal employees the option to leave the job with about eight months’ salary.
It has been said in the email sent that there will be a chance to choose the option to voluntarily resign from the post till February 6. It has also been directed that employees who are working from home will have to return to offices full-time.
“If you choose not to continue in your current role in the federal workforce, we will thank you for your service to the country and offer you the opportunity to honorably leave the federal government using this resignation program,” the email said.
If you resign under the program, you will retain all pay and benefits regardless of your daily workload and will be relieved from all work until September 30.
