BURIEN, Wash. – October 27, 2025 — A car was heavily damaged after a large tree fell on it during a weekend storm in Burien, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Deputies responded to the scene at SW 116th Street and Ambaum Boulevard SW after receiving reports of a fallen tree blocking the roadway. The stormy weather had caused strong winds and heavy rain throughout King County, keeping deputies and emergency crews busy responding to multiple weather-related incidents.
The Sheriff’s Office said deputies worked alongside the local fire department to clear the tree and reopen the road as quickly as possible.
“Wild weather kept our deputies busy this weekend,” the department stated. “Luckily no injuries. Reminder: Drive safe out there, especially during dark and stormy nights.”
Authorities are reminding drivers to use extra caution when traveling during severe weather, as falling trees, debris, and limited visibility can create hazardous conditions.
