Trump Issues Strong Statement on Rising Tensions with China

USATrump Issues Strong Statement on Rising Tensions with China

October 11, 2025 – Washington, D.C.

Former President Donald J. Trump released a fiery new statement Friday morning addressing what he described as increasingly “hostile” actions by China, including recent threats to impose export controls on key resources and heightened diplomatic aggression.

In the lengthy statement, posted via his campaign’s “Rapid Response 47” channel, Trump warned that China’s latest moves pose serious economic and geopolitical threats. He accused the Chinese government of taking steps to “clog the markets” and “make life difficult for virtually every country in the world,” especially the United States.

Trump claimed he had long warned about the growing threat of China, stating, “I have always felt that they’ve been lying in wait, and now, as usual, I have been proven right!” He cited reports of rare earth export restrictions and China’s push for greater control over production chains as proof of an “unfriendly and hostile” posture.

The statement also suggested that the U.S. had recently received “strong letters” from China and other countries, and that the Biden administration had failed to take meaningful action. Trump insisted that under his leadership, the U.S. maintained peace and strength by projecting economic and military power, warning that current inaction may provoke conflict.

“I was the only President in decades who didn’t get the U.S. into a war,” Trump said. “Now, under Crooked Joe Biden, we are again looking weak, confused, and disrespected.”

In a significant policy tease, Trump hinted at possible future economic actions against China, including increased tariffs or restrictions on Chinese goods entering the U.S. He concluded by calling on Americans to remain vigilant and urging immediate attention to what he described as a looming international crisis.

The statement, shared by Trump campaign spokesperson Karoline Leavitt, has already sparked wide discussion across political and media circles.
