Tukwila students are invited to showcase their creativity and environmental awareness through the Project Recycle Right: 2026 Earth Day Art, Photo, and Video Contest, organized in partnership between Recology and the City of Tukwila.
Now in its third year, the contest encourages students to express ideas around recycling, sustainability, and environmental responsibility through visual media. Participants can submit original artwork, photographs, or videos that reflect the importance of recycling and waste reduction in their communities.
The contest is open to all elementary, middle, and high school students in the Tukwila School District, as well as students who live in Tukwila but attend school elsewhere. This inclusive approach allows a broad range of young residents to participate and share their perspectives on environmental stewardship.
Entries must be submitted by Sunday, March 8 at 12:00 p.m. Finalists will be announced by Monday, April 13 at noon. Additional details and application instructions are available through the official contest link provided by organizers.
For questions, participants and families can contact the contest team at RKCArtContest@recology.com.
The initiative aims to engage youth in sustainability efforts while fostering creativity and community awareness ahead of Earth Day 2026.
