The City of Tukwila officially welcomed two new members to the City Council following a swearing-in ceremony held this week.
Jane Ho and Hannah Hedrick were formally sworn into office after their election results were certified by King County Elections. Because both candidates are filling seats that were vacated mid-term, they assumed their council duties immediately upon certification.
In addition, Verna Seal and Kate Kruller were elected to open council seats. Their terms are scheduled to officially begin on January 1, 2026.
City officials congratulated all four women on their election victories and welcomed the new leadership to Tukwila’s governing body. The council changes mark an important transition as the city continues its work on community development, public safety, and local policy initiatives.
