Everett, WA — Everett Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday afternoon at the West Mall Place Apartments.

According to police, officers responded to the scene at approximately 12:50 p.m. following reports of a shooting. The victim, a USPS postal worker, was transported to Providence Hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound.

The suspect, identified as a package delivery driver, has been taken into custody. Police confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public.

Authorities have stated that the investigation is active and ongoing, and no further details are being released at this time.
