Everett, WA — Everett Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Friday afternoon at the West Mall Place Apartments.

According to police, officers responded to the scene at approximately 12:50 p.m. following reports of a shooting. The victim, a USPS postal worker, was transported to Providence Hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound.

The suspect, identified as a package delivery driver, has been taken into custody. Police confirmed that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
