SEATTLE, Wash., — Seattle police officers arrested a 30-year-old violent felon early Tuesday morning after locating him during proactive patrols in the Chinatown–International District. The man, who was armed with a machete at the time of his arrest, had multiple outstanding warrants.
Around 2:00 a.m. on November 25, officers patrolling near 12th Avenue South and South King Street recognized the suspect, who was wanted on significant warrants. When officers approached him, he attempted to conceal his identity by providing a false name.
Police confirmed the man had the following active warrants:

$15,075 domestic violence warrant for Assault with Sexual Motivation, Attempted Unlawful Imprisonment, and Interfering with the Reporting of Domestic Violence

$1,000 felony warrant for 2nd-Degree Theft
During the arrest, the suspect became combative, reportedly challenging officers to fight, using slurs, and kicking his legs in an attempt to resist. According to police, the man is a previously convicted felon with a history of Assault and Intimidating a Public Servant, and is classified as having a “High Violent” risk level.
Officers recovered a machete from the suspect, and police are recommending additional charges for Unlawful Use of Weapons.
The man was booked into King County Jail.
