The Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 (Waqf Amendment Bill LIVE Updates) has been passed in the Lok Sabha late night. This bill was debated throughout the day. Congress created a ruckus during this time. 288 votes were cast in favor of this bill, while 232 MPs voted against it. Today the Waqf Bill will be introduced in the Rajya Sabha.
Congress MP Imran Pratapgarhi said that the country’s Parliament was running till 2 o’clock in the night and at 1:30 in the night America imposed tariff. The country and especially the BJP voters should understand that this Waqf Bill was already a planned issue to distract people from the issue of tariff.
Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju will introduce the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Rajya Sabha today at 1 pm. There are currently 236 MPs in the Rajya Sabha, due to which the support of 119 MPs is needed for a majority here. BJP has 98 MPs in the Rajya Sabha.
