A driver was hospitalized after a water truck rolled over in a collision at a busy intersection in Renton, authorities said.
According to the Renton Police Department, officers responded to a rollover crash at the intersection of Garden Avenue North and North 8th Street. Emergency crews arrived at the scene and temporarily rerouted traffic while responders worked to stabilize the overturned vehicle.
The truck’s driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries sustained in the crash. Officials did not immediately release details about the severity of those injuries.
Firefighters from the Renton Regional Fire Authority assisted at the scene, using heavy equipment to secure the water truck and safely turn it upright.
Authorities said the roadway was closed for a period while crews managed the incident and cleared the scene. The road has since reopened to traffic.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation
