Recently PM Modi paid a two-day visit to America. During this, he talked with Trump on the issues of trade, defense and tariffs. Donald Trump made the latest comments in a press conference.
On Friday, Donald Trump said that America will also impose the same duties which these countries impose on American goods. We will announce reciprocal tariffs soon. Trump said they impose tariffs on us. We will charge them.
We want to be fair. Whatever duty any company or country like India or China imposes, we will also impose the same. Trump further said that we never did this. We wanted to do this before the Covid pandemic.
