Television actor Ali Goni, who hails from Jammu and Kashmir, slammed Pakistan for violating the ceasefire. India and Pakistan had announced a mutual ceasefire on May 10, But within a few hours, Pakistani drones were seen and intercepted at several places in Jammu and Kashmir, including Srinagar. Drones were also seen in some parts of Gujarat.
Expressing his anger, Ali wrote, “Send it in Urdu, this illiterate army must not have understood it in English… #ceasefireviolation.” Soon after, he faced abuse from trolls for his opinion. However, the actor did not back down and hit back at them, saying he does not care.
On Sunday, Ali wrote on his X (formerly Twitter), “People want to abuse me, please do so, I don’t care at all.. I still want peace for my state, my family and my country. And that is my opinion and it won’t change.. #ceasefire.”
