Tennis world number-1 Jannik Sinner has made it to the round of 16 of Wimbledon. He defeated Spain’s Pedro Martinez in straight sets in the third round. On the other hand, in women’s singles, number-1 Arina Sabalenka also won her match and made it to the next round.

Italy’s Sinner defeated Martinez by 6-1, 6-3, 6-1. Sinner double faulted his service 3 times and gave points to Martinez. Martinez did not commit a single double fault. In men’s singles, Italy’s Flavio Cobolli also made it to the next round.

He defeated Jakub Mensik of the Czech Republic 6–2, 6–4, 6–2. In the men’s doubles, Britain’s world number-6 pair made it to the next round. The pair of Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski defeated the pair of India’s Ritwik Chaudhary Bollipalli and Colombia’s Nicolas Barrientos 6-4, 7-6 (9-7) to enter the next round.

The pair of India’s N Sriram Balaji and Mexico’s Miguel Angel faced defeat from the world number-4 pair. Argentina’s Horacio Zeballos and Spain’s Marcel Granollers defeated them 6-4, 6-4 and entered the next round.In the third round of women’s singles, world number-1 Arina Sabalenka of Belarus also made it to the round of 16. She defeated Britain’s Emma Radukanu 7-6 (8-6), 6-4. In women’s singles, Australia’s Daria Kasakina, Jessica Bouzas Manero of Spain, Belinda Bencic of Switzerland, Clara Tuson of Denmark and Mara Andreeva of Russia also made it to the round of 16.
