Seattle — A 19-year-old woman was seriously injured in a shooting late Friday night in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood, prompting an ongoing investigation by police.
Seattle police officers responded to reports of gunfire around 11:37 p.m. near the intersection of 3rd Avenue and Wall Street. The shooting occurred following a disturbance after the closure of an event in the 2500 block of 3rd Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a young woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. Officers immediately rendered aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived and transported her to Harborview Medical Center, where she remains in serious condition.
