Renton, WA – October 4, 2025 — A 57-year-old woman was shot in the neck area after using an ATM in Renton on Friday evening, according to a statement released by the Renton Police Department.

The incident occurred just before 6:35 p.m. in the 300 Block of Burnett Avenue South. Officers responded to reports of a shooting and found the woman with a gunshot wound. She was treated by medics at the scene and later transported to a hospital. The extent of her injuries has not been disclosed.

Police say the suspect is a male, but the relationship between the suspect and the victim is currently unknown. Detectives have been called in to continue the investigation.

Authorities reported significant police activity in the area following the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and more details will be released as they become available.
