Seattle, WA: A violent robbery at a tent encampment in West Seattle has left three men seriously injured, prompting an active investigation by Seattle police.

The incident occurred just before 1:00 p.m. at Rotary Viewpoint Park, near 35th Avenue Southwest and Southwest Alaska Street. Officers responding to reports of an armed robbery discovered three victims—aged 28, 39, and 42—suffering from severe head injuries.

Emergency responders from the Seattle Fire Department provided immediate medical aid before transporting all three victims to Harborview Medical Center. Authorities confirmed that two of the victims remain in critical condition, while the third is in stable condition.

Preliminary investigations revealed that multiple suspects targeted the victims’ tent, deploying a fire extinguisher inside. As the victims rushed out, they were ambushed and brutally attacked with improvised weapons, including a crowbar, wrench, and the fire extinguisher itself.

Two victims were knocked unconscious during the assault, while the third, despite sustaining a severe head laceration, managed to escape. While the victims were incapacitated, the suspects reportedly robbed them, demanding all their belongings before fleeing the scene on foot.

A K9 unit was deployed and tracked the suspects to a nearby encampment. Police obtained a search warrant and SWAT officers conducted a search of a tent believed to be connected to the suspects. However, no individuals were found inside.

Detectives from the Robbery Unit are continuing to investigate and have interviewed the victims at the hospital. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and contact the Violent Crimes Tip Line at 206-233-5000. Anonymous tips are accepted.
