The City of Kent Government, in collaboration with Kent Parks, Recreation & Community Services, has announced the launch of a new youth NFL Flag Football League aimed at encouraging kids to stay active and learn the fundamentals of the game.
The program is open to children in grades 3 through 8 and is designed to provide a fun, inclusive environment where participants can develop skills, build friendships, and enjoy team-based sports. Organizers say the league will focus on teaching the basics of football while promoting teamwork and sportsmanship.
Registration for the league is now officially open, with limited spots available. Parents and guardians are encouraged to sign up early to secure a place for their children.
City officials expressed excitement about bringing this program to the community, highlighting its potential to engage youth in healthy activities and foster a love for sports.
