Seattle police are investigating a shooting that left a 39-year-old man injured in the Bitter Lake area on Tuesday evening.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 900 block of North 143rd Street. While en route, police located a vehicle connected to the incident arriving at Northwest Hospital on North 115th Street. Inside, officers found the घायल man suffering from a gunshot wound to his left arm.
Police assisted in getting the victim onto a gurney, where hospital staff began immediate treatment. He was later transported to Harborview Medical Center and is reported to be in stable condition.
Preliminary investigations indicate the victim was involved in an altercation inside a vehicle with another man when the shooting occurred. The suspect fled the scene on foot and has not yet been located.
Detectives from the Gun Violence Reduction Unit (GVRU) are leading the investigation and have conducted interviews at the hospital. Authorities say the case remains active and ongoing.
