The Supreme Court has stayed the decision of the Allahabad High Court in a case related to attempted rape of a minor girl. The judges called the decisions insensitive. The Allahabad High Court had said that ‘grabbing the breast of a minor girl and breaking the string of her pyjama is not rape.’
Now the Supreme Court heard the case and said, we are sad to see that those who write the decision lack sensitivity. A bench of Justices BR Gavai and Augustine George Masih heard the case on Wednesday. On Tuesday, the SC had taken suo motu notice of the High Court’s decision.’
