KENT, Wash. — The Kent Police Department is inviting residents to register for its Fall 2026 Community Police Academy, an interactive program designed to give community members a closer look at the department and the work of local law enforcement.
The department says the academy will provide participants with opportunities to learn more about Kent Police officers, specialty units and other aspects of police operations. The program is intended for residents who want to better understand how the department serves the community.
According to the department’s announcement, the registration deadline is September 19, with the academy scheduled to begin October 7 at 7:00 p.m.
The Community Police Academy offers residents an opportunity to engage directly with the department and learn more about policing in Kent.
