Life took a terrifying turn for a California family when two illegal immigrants who had lived in the U.S. for 35 years were deported across international borders last month.
Gladys Gonzalez (55) and Nelson Gonzalez (59), parents of three daughters, were arrested by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in February and deported to their country on March 18. It was a severe and shocking blow to their family.
The couple who came to America from Colombia in 1989 has been sent back to their country. The US Immigration Department has taken action against this couple who had been living there for 35 years, after which the family is in a state of shock. The couple’s daughters said that deporting them was mentally and financially debilitating for us.
