UPI users across India have reported massive UPI outages, leading to a massive disruption in financial transactions across the country. According to users, PhonePe, Paytm and Google Pay stopped working on Wednesday evening.
Downdetector data also showed that more than 1,300 people complained of UPI outage after 7 pm on Wednesday.
NPCI, which manages UPI, has issued a statement regarding the outage. NPCI wrote in a post on X, “NPCI faced temporary technical problems, which led to partial downtime in UPI. This has now been resolved and the system has stabilized. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
