Punjab Kings’ Priyansh Arya (24) is going to gift a house in Delhi to his parents with the money he got in the IPL mega auction 2024. His parents live in a government house. They do not have their own house in Delhi.
This information was given by Priyansh’s coach Sanjay Bhardwaj, who has been the coach of Indian team coach Gautam Gambhir. Priyansh was bought by Punjab for Rs 3 crore 80 lakh. 24-year-old Priyansh made his IPL debut against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on March 25. Before this, his father wished him ‘best of luck’. The coach had said – ‘Focus on the game, play attacking.’
There are 6 teachers in Priyansh’s family. His father Pawan Kumar and mother Rajbala teach in Delhi, while his elder sister is also an MA B Ed. Pawan, while telling the story of his son becoming a cricketer, says, ‘I am from village Bhuna of Fatehabad in Haryana. There was no cricket facility there, but I used to play cricket. Then I started teaching in Delhi, but my interest in cricket remained. I used to watch matches with Priyansh on TV.’
