‘Non-Muslims will not be allowed in Waqf Board’, Amit Shah attacks opposition

INTERNATIONAL'Non-Muslims will not be allowed in Waqf Board', Amit Shah attacks opposition

The Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 (Waqf Amendment Bill LIVE Updates) has been introduced in the Lok Sabha. Congress created a ruckus during this time. Home Minister Amit Shah hit back at the Congress. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju responded while introducing the bill.

While the government is calling the bill a corrective step in the interest of Muslims, the opposition has come out in strong opposition. Opposition parties say that the bill is a violation of the Constitution and is against religious freedom.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that you (opposition) will break this country… Through this House, I want to tell the Muslims of the country that not a single non-Muslim will come to your Waqf. There is no such provision in this law. But what will the Waqf Board and Waqf Council do?

We will catch and throw out those who sell Waqf properties, we will catch those who lease their properties for 100 years in the name of Waqf. The income of Waqf is decreasing, the income from which we have to develop and take forward the minorities, that money is being stolen. Waqf Board and Council will catch them.
