Due to the severe storm in many areas of the south and mid-west region of America, roofs of many houses were blown away, electric poles and trees fell down. Due to this, electricity supply to millions of houses was disrupted. One person is reported to have died and some people are injured.
Dozens of severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings were issued Wednesday evening across parts of Illinois, Arkansas, Indiana, Missouri and Mississippi, while a state of emergency was briefly declared in northeast Arkansas due to the storms.
More than 90,000 homes in Illinois, Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi and Tennessee lost power. While 182,000 homes in Indiana also remained without power on Wednesday night. Floods are also expected in the South and Midwest in the coming days, as the storm moving east is becoming more severe.
