The vehicle of a family going from Faridabad to attend a wedding ceremony in Gauchar, Chamoli, met with an accident. There were six members of the same family in the vehicle. Five of them died. The vehicle was pulled out of the river with the help of a crane.
In which five bodies were recovered. A woman has been rescued. The cause of the accident is said to be high speed. The family originally hails from Chamoli district. Currently, they were living in Faridabad (Haryana). They were coming to attend a Mehndi ceremony at a relative’s place.
All were travelling in Thar. The accident took place near Bagwan, about 15 km from Devprayag towards Srinagar on the Badrinath Highway.
