In the meeting of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav with the Congress high command, the initial outline of the preparations of the Mahagathbandhan for the Bihar elections was discussed. However, there was no discussion on the seat sharing formula.
After the meeting, indications were given to the Congress leadership that the party will not make the mistake of contesting on seats preferred by RJD like last time, but instead, it is making solid preparations to contest on seats where it has political influence and prospects.
Even though there is no debate on RJD’s claim for the post of Chief Minister, Congress is yet to reveal its cards regarding declaring its face. In this meeting of Tejaswi Yadav with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, it was definitely decided that a meeting of all the allies will be held in Patna on April 17 in which other issues including seat sharing will be discussed.
