National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar met families who had taken shelter after the Murshidabad violence in Malda district of West Bengal. This meeting took place at a relief camp. After this, the Women Commission team reached Murshidabad on Saturday.
Here the Women Commission’s investigation committee talked to the families affected by the violence. Meanwhile, West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose has also reached Murshidabad. He will take stock of the violence affected areas and meet the affected families.
Speaking to reporters, National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar said that everyone should be sensitive towards women. Only sensitivity can ensure justice for women. Such situations occur when there is a lack of sensitivity.
