The US government recently took action on international students. Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced a ‘catch and revoke’ program to identify and investigate student visa holders That included monitoring their social media for evidence of anti-Semitism or support for the Palestinians and Hamas.
After this action, the visas of many international students have been cancelled and the maximum number of them are Indian students. According to a report by the American Lawyers Association (AILA), half of the 327 visa cancellations recently collected by the organization are of Indian students.
