Meanwhile, a case of disappearance of a couple who had gone to Sikkim for their honeymoon has come to light. Kaushalendra and Ankita, residents of Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh, got married on May 5 and on May 26, both went to Sikkim for honeymoon.
On May 29, news came that a car full of 11 tourists fell into a ditch due to rain in Sikkim. Both are missing after this incident. The family is worried due to the disappearance of the newlywed couple. Ankita, daughter of Rajesh Singh, resident of Dhangarh Sarai Chivalha Patti, was married to Kaushalendra, son of Sher Bahadur of Sangipur Rahatikar village on May 5.
Kaushalendra’s father Sher Bahadur and other family members told Dainik Jagran that the weather is continuously bad there. It is raining heavily. The roads are cut off. The rescue operation is going on amidst the difficulties, but no belongings of the couple have been found so far.The governor there instructed the government officials over the phone to speed up the rescue operation. Meanwhile, the family members are still waiting at home.
The father and his family members who were searching for their son and daughter-in-law in Sikkim have now returned home in despair. The fear of something untoward happening has increased, but the mind is still not giving up hope. In search of their son and daughter-in-law, half a dozen people including Kaushalendra’s father Sher Bahadur Singh, Ankita’s brother and other family members had gone to Sikkim from May 31. When the father’s health started deteriorating due to depression, the family brought him back to Pratapgarh.
