According to the news agency, IAEA Chief Rafael Grossi said in an interview with CBS News that based on the capabilities Iran has, it is possible that it can restart some centrifuge units and start uranium enrichment again in a few months, or even less. He clarified that it would be wrong to claim that all nuclear capabilities of Iran have been completely destroyed after the American and Israeli attacks.
US officials claim that Iranian sites such as Fordo, Natanz and Esfahan have been completely destroyed, but Grossi believes that Iran is a country with highly developed nuclear technology. The scientific knowledge and technical capability it possesses cannot be ignored.He also said that Western countries are concerned that even if Iran’s nuclear sites have been damaged or it has lost nuclear scientists, the knowledge and technical understanding it has developed is now permanent.
Rafael Grossi was also asked whether Iran had removed its highly enriched uranium (HEU) stockpile before the US attacks? To this, he said that we do not yet have a clear idea of what happened to that material.
